About Actispas-R Tablet

DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE is a combination drug primarily used to reduce and relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Abdominal (tummy) pain occurs between your chest and pelvic region (below the belly button and leg). Stomach cramps can be due to bloating (trapped wind), diarrhea, kidney stones, stomach ulcer, appendicitis, or other gastrointestinal conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE is a combination of drugs containing dicyclomine and Ranitidine, primarily taken to relieve abdominal spasmodic pain. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic, that helps treat spasms and pain by relaxing the muscles. It also blocks certain chemical messengers in the brain, which causes pain sensation. Ranitidine works by blocking histamine H2 receptors located on the stomach lining, thereby reducing gastric acid secretion. Together, DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE helps in relieving abdominal pain and cramps.

DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE should be taken with food to avoid an upset stomach. DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE should be taken at the same time of the day each time for the best results. For better advice, your doctor will decide, what dose should be taken and it can change in time depending upon your condition. Some common side effects of DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE are constipation, diarrhea, drowsiness, headache, weakness, and muscle pain. Please consult your doctor if an allergic reaction becomes severe.

DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE is pregnancy category B medicine so, its use in pregnant and nursing mothers is safe if prescribed by a doctor. Do not consume alcohol as it may cause excessive drowsiness when taken along with DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE. Before using DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE, tell your doctor if you ever had an allergy to DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE, if you have stomach cancer, kidney problems, lung disease, or diabetes. Please do not drink alcohol with DICYCLOMINE+RANITIDINE as it may increase unpleasant side effects like drowsiness and dizziness.
